Betsi Santos introduction into Art Department came from the all too known challenge of “I want to be an Artist!… but how can I get paid doing it”. BLK&Ginger is a collection of production designers and fabricators who work nonunion and union, low budgets and high budgets, high profile and low profile productions. We are a nonstop shop; from production design to graphic design to set and prop fabrication. Each crew member is a designer and fabricator in their own right and since we work as a collective we benefit through each individual's distinctive set of skills and taste. Each production brought in is led by the designer whose styles and sensibilities best match the project. From there the rest of the BLK&Ginger crew take on positions in the department to best fit their individual talents and project needs.

BLK&Ginger also operates as a loan out company allowing us to provide our crew members with benefits and a stable work climate in this fast pace, unpredictable world of film and media production. 71% of our staff are women and we aim to always keep our diversity in high marks
